PUBLIC SCHOOL CLASSROOM - ABA/SPECIAL EDUCATION TUTOR POSITION

The New England Center for Children (NECC) is looking for a full-time ABA Tutor to work in a public school setting as part of our Public School Partner Program. 

No experience, no problem! We provide extensive training! 

The ABA Tutors work directly with students to help them acquire skills and participate successfully throughout the school day, utilizing the principles of ABA across all settings within the public school.

Responsibilities

  • Direct instruction for children with autism in both sub-separate and inclusion classrooms
  • Case management responsibilities may include:
    • Data summary
    • Generating lesson materials
    • Modifying curriculum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Desire to work with children or young adults in a special education setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to carry out written and verbal instructions
  • Successful completion of NECC required training, including CALM safety training to teach de-escalation strategies and procedures to manage challenging behavior in the safest way possible.
  • A driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Red Cross CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) or CPR training completion through the agency within 6 months of employment.
