WWC AmeriCorps VISTA (Hunger Corps)
The Office of Community Engagement at Warren Wilson College is excited to sponsor an AmeriCorps VISTA position. During a one-year service year, the AmeriCorps VISTA NC Hunger Corps positions focus on building the long-term capacity of WWC to alleviate food insecurity.
Requirements
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Commitment: Full-time, one-year service term.
- Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) are usually preferred.

Program Benefits
VISTA members typically receive a standard package of benefits during their year of service:
- Living Allowance: A bi-weekly allowance to cover basic expenses.
- Education Award or Stipend: Upon completion, members choose between a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award (approx. $7,395) or a cash stipend.
