Summer Music Festival Sponsorship Intern
SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP INTERN / SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR 2025
This will be a part-time role supporting the Sponsorship team with Metronome Chicago, the exclusive provider of business development and sponsorship management for Riot Fest 2025, Music at the Intersection 2025 and other public festivals. This will be a hybrid position, with an unpaid internship covering pre-event and post-event work, and a paid ‘Sponsorship Coordinator’ position during the week of festival onsite operations during Riot Fest 2025. You will work directly with Festival sponsorship management, department heads and sponsor partners to fulfill all sponsorship contracts and their marketing plans, onsite planning and logistics, load-in/load-out, venue access, and post-event reporting.
INTERSHIP TERM: This work will start on/around June 1st – 15th (depending on your class schedule) through September 14th with pre-event work, then will officially conclude when all assigned projects are completed post-event, usually within a week or two. This will entail 10-15 hours of work per week, on a flexible schedule around classes and/or other work that you may have. We will compensate you for any agreed upon expenses incurred in carrying out the position.
SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR TERM: This position will start full-time (8-12 hours per day) with the event build on/around Monday, September 15th through event load-out on Monday, September 23rd. This hourly, paid work will be something you are able to list on your resume as a freelance professional position. We will also compensate you for any agreed upon expenses incurred in carrying out the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work directly with Brand Manager, Partnerships to coordinate communication with partners and department heads in lead up to the event and finalize post-event reports.
Work directly with Director, Business Development to coordinate the onsite experience for all partners.
Manage and track all sponsored social media and other marketing benefits with intention of archiving all online marketing.
Communicate partner inquires and logistics with key stakeholders.
Interview alumni and co-write and edit the Sponsorship newsletter.
Post and provide content and management on all social media channels including posting and tracking sponsorship marketing campaigns on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Support team leads on all event registration duties including payment and ticket access.
Administrative assistance, asset management and team organization.
Leading execution of retail and pre-festival activation programs in the Chicagoland area.

CONSIDERATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the music/entertainment industry.
A strong desire to learn.
The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Access to a personal computer.
A digital camera and/or experience with photography.
Experience with design software and tools, ie, Adobe Suite products.
A valid driver’s license and/or access to a vehicle.
